How do you determine the difference between like, lust and love?
I think the answer to this depends on the person. There’s really no right or wrong answer but here’s my opinion:
Lust: to me lust is when you’re just physically attracted to a person. You focus mainly on their physical characteristics/attributes. You’re not really interested in getting to know the person on a ‘personal’ level and you can even fantasize about being physically/ sexually involved with that person.
Love: I believe you can lust someone AND love someone, if there’s no lust then you probably don’t have any chances of loving them. Love is when you have not just a physical attraction towards someone but you’re also attracted to their personality, their way of being. You can love someone if there’s a deep connection between the two individuals, you can see a future between each other, anything reminds you about that person, you miss the person, just hearing about them makes you feel happy.
Like: Liking someone can be simple or complex. This one is a little harder to describe. To me, when you like someone then that means you are interested in the person, you want to get to know them, talk to them, but maybe not necessarily gain any satisfaction from hearing about them. If you can go a certain amount of time without talking to them and don’t feel the need to hear from them, maybe its just a simple like.
